Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech who will support licensed staff in delivering compassionate care to patients from birth through the lifecycle. The role includes data collection, vital signs, and documenting in the EMR, with responsibilities in mobility, feeding, and hygiene tasks.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or equivalent, has BLS certification, and may have CNA/PCT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient assessments and data collection.
• Assists patients with mobility, feeding, bathing, toileting, glucose checks and rounding.
• Documents vital signs and treatments in EMR.
• Communicates with care team and notifies primary nurse of changes.
• Assists with admission and discharge processes and patient intake.
• Reinforces patient education provided by licensed staff.
• Responds to call lights and alarms.
• May serve as Sitter or Unit Secretary as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
