Indiana University Health in Muncie, IN is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCA) to support bedside care. You will assist with meals, mobility, baths, linens, and gown changes while delivering compassionate, patient-centered service.

You will collaborate with the bedside RN, obtain vital signs, report changes promptly, and follow infection control and safety protocols. This role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain

Qualifications

• Requires current Basic Life Support certification through the AHA or completion of the IU Health PCA program.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate care for patients.
• Up-to-date knowledge of procedures and standards for patient care activities.
• Proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a high workload.
• Ability to read and perform basic math and organize tasks.

Responsabilités

• Provide drinks and assist with meals for patients.
• Encourage walking and mobility.
• Assist with baths and grooming.
• Provide clean linens and gowns.
• Obtain vital signs and report abnormalities to the RN.
