Indiana University Health, Inc. in Muncie is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCA) to support bedside care, assist with meals, mobility, baths, and comfort needs while maintaining patient safety.

The role involves working under the RN to monitor vital signs, use gait belts/alarms, and help deliver compassionate care in a fast-paced hospital setting. This is a full-time day shift with strong benefits and professional development.

Qualifications

• Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA or completion of the IU Health PCA education program.
• Experience providing bedside patient care and assisting with daily activities.
• Ability to report changes in patient condition to RN or charge nurse promptly.
• Must maintain patient safety and infection control standards.

Responsabilités

• Provide drinks, assist with meals, and help with personal cares.
• Assist with baths and mobility with gait belts and alarms.
• Obtain vital signs and report abnormalities to the nurse.
• Offer clean linens and gowns and ensure patient comfort.
