Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join the care delivery team under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This part-time role focuses on delegated direct patient care, maintaining a safe environment, documenting care, and reporting changes in patient condition to the RN.

Independent clinical decisions are outside the scope of this position. The role requires completion of at least the first semester of a nursing program or completion of a medical assistant/PCT

Qualifications

• Successfully completed first semester in an accredited nursing program.
• Successfully completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program.
• Certification may substitute for the educational requirement (e.g., CMA, CMA, RMA, CNA, EMT, or PCT).

Responsibilities

• Implements plan through coordination of care with interdisciplinary team.
• Communicates pertinent patient data to appropriate staff promptly.
• Provides assistance with activities of daily living and records vital signs.
