Aurora Health Care is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support registered nurses in delivering daily patient care in a Milwaukee area unit. You will assist with bathing, feeding, ambulation, and routine tasks while documenting in the EMR and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

You will participate in admissions, transfers and discharges, manage supplies, and support infection prevention measures. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential in this fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualificações

• Basic computer skills for EMR documentation and hospital systems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for interacting with patients, families and RN staff.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to set priorities in a busy clinical unit.

Responsabilidades

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, hygiene, feeding and ambulation.
• Measure and document vital signs and intake/output in EMR, maintaining accuracy.
• Perform rounds and communicate observations to RN promptly.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge processes, ensuring room setup and patient belongings are managed.
• Collect specimens and assist with point-of-care testing per approved protocols.
• Handle errands, stock nursing areas, and maintain cleanliness of equipment and spaces.
• Assist with patient positioning and safe transport, including use of assistive devices.
• Support skin integrity and management of routine patient care supplies and devices.
• May assist with IV removal, post-mortem care, and bladder scans as directed.
• Follow infection prevention policies and ensure age-appropriate patient care.
