Aurora Health Care is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support RNs in daily patient care at our Wisconsin facilities. You will assist with bathing, feeding, mobility, and routine activities, while documenting data in the EMR and communicating patient needs to the RN.

The role requires adherence to infection prevention practices, routine patient positioning, and participation in admissions/transfers/discharges under RN supervision.

Mansioni

• Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs, I&O, daily weights, and other patient data in EMR.
• Performs purposeful rounding under direction of RN and communicates observations and needs to RN.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes under supervision of RN with room setup and belongings management.
• Collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Cleans equipment and work areas; completes errands and maintains stock for nursing area.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties with proper technique and assistive devices; assists with dietary needs.
• Maintains skin integrity and uses TED hose and sequential compression devices as required.
• Under RN direction may remove IVs, provide post mortem care, and bladder scans.
• Follows infection prevention policies; uses hand hygiene and sterile/aseptic procedures.
• Provides age-appropriate care; understands growth and development for patients served.
