Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide essential care under RN supervision in a hospital setting in New Jersey. The role focuses on direct and indirect patient care, safety, comfort, and teamwork with the interdisciplinary health care team.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED and may be enrolled in or have completed a PCT/CMA/CNA program, with BLS/CPR certification preferred. Experience in hospital settings is valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Completion of one of: CNA, CMA, PCT; HMH PCT Apprenticeship; EMT/HHA or equivalent medical background.
• Ability to learn quickly, strong teamwork, accountability and dedication to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age-specific criteria.
• Take vital signs and document findings for RN review.
• Assist with procedures and patient safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan care.
