Job summary

Beacon Health Options in Indiana is seeking a part‑time day shift Patient Care Assistant to support the nursing team. You will help with admission/discharge, provide routine patient care, and document observations in the medical record under RN direction.

The role requires basic caregiving skills, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and CPR/BLS within 3 months of hire. CNA certification is preferred, with a focus on compassionate, team‑oriented care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Nurse Assistant certification preferred; CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• Must be at least 17 years old; previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admission and discharge procedures.
• Bathe patients, assist with oral hygiene, bed making and ongoing care.
• Assist with toileting, bedpans and routine hygiene.
• Turn, position, lift, transfer and ambulate patients as directed.
• Prepare meals and distribute/collect meal trays.
• Take and record vital signs; document in the medical record.
• Answer call lights and relay messages promptly.
• Perform skin care and wound care under RN direction.
• Document observations and participate in care plans.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition and needs.
