Job summary

Qualifications

• CNA certification or enrollment in nursing program is required or preferred.
• CPR/BLS recognition is required.
• Minimum 90% on mandatory Health and Safety Training quizzes.
• Capillary blood glucose monitoring capability is required.
• High school diploma and some college nursing education or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission, transfer, discharge and patient care activities.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and monitor newborn care as directed.
• Support RN in direct and indirect patient care and safety tasks.
• Respond to patient calls and emergencies; maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Prepare rooms, transport supplies, and assist with post-operative care as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and department meetings.
