Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support Registered Nurses in delivering direct and indirect patient care. You will perform phlebotomy, monitor vital signs, and assist with admissions, discharges, and routine nursing tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires CNA certification or active nursing student status, CPR/BLS, and a high school diploma. On-site work with comprehensive benefits is provided to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• CNA Certification or current enrollment in nursing-related program.
• CPR recognition by the American Heart Association (BLS for Healthcare Providers).
• High school diploma required; college-level coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN with direct and indirect patient care activities.
• Take and record vital signs and measurements for adults and neonates.
• Perform phlebotomy and basic newborn care as assigned.
• Respond to patient calls and transport patients/equipment as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and assist with routine duties under supervision.
