Qualifications

• CNA Certification or enrollment in nursing school with basic rotations.
• CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers).
• Minimum 90% on mandatory Health and Safety Training quizzes.
• Ability to perform capillary blood glucose monitoring.
• High school diploma required; college or nursing education preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care activities including admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Takes and records temperature, pulse, respirations, weight, height, and blood pressure.
• Measures and records intake/output and applies monitoring equipment.
• Obtains EKG and performs phlebotomy; collects specimens.
• Assists with newborn care, feeding, and maternal-neonatal duties.
• Transports patients and equipment; responds to emergencies; maintains patient safety.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment and stocks supplies; participates in QC activities.
