Job summary

UPMC in Kentucky seeks a dedicated team member to actively participate on the patient care team, providing basic bedside care and assisting patients with activities of daily living under the direction of the RN.

You will support non-clinical unit coordination, follow nursing policies, document care and meals, respond to calls, and maintain a safe environment in compliance with OSHA and universal precautions.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic bedside care and ADLs.
• Ability to document care and vital signs accurately.
• Ability to respond promptly to patient call lights and emergencies.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA universal precautions.
• Effective teamwork and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments and patient care procedures as directed; assists with ADLs according to the plan of care.
• Documents ADLs, vital signs, I&Os, meals and policies per hospital guidelines; monitors safety.
• Assists in emergencies; maintains a safe environment and communicates with RN and team.
