Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will monitor vital signs, assist with feeding and grooming, and help with mobility while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include sanitizing rooms, documenting care using the EPIC EHR system (training preferred), and communicating changes to the nursing team.

• Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner.
• Ability to be proactive in a rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including care and comfort, vital signs, personal care and hygiene, and mobility assistance.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes and concerns.
• Delivers high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely where applicable (EPIC EHR training preferred).
• Participates in hand-offs with pertinent information on arrival and departure.
• Performs delegated tasks once competency is validated.
