Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) at Newton-Wellesley Hospital to join the interdisciplinary health care team. The PCA supports clinical functions under RN supervision to promote safe, compassionate patient care.

Certification as CNA, PCT, MA, EMT or commensurate experience is required unless the training program is completed. Nursing students in BSN/Direct-entry Masters programs are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT or commensurate experience required, unless enrolled in, and successfully completes, the NWH Patient Care Associate Training Program.
• Nursings students hired as PCAs preferred BSN programs or direct-entry Masters’ programs.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse (RN), the PCA assists in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.
• Works as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team.
