Job summary

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; higher education considered.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider within 60 days after hire.
• CNA preferred; prior patient care experience preferred.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge and computer literacy preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Document patient care activities and data accurately.
• Perform routine clinical skills (vital signs, aseptic technique, specimen collection, etc.).
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, hygiene).
• Complete duties within the RN-assigned timeframes and report changes promptly.
• Gather data (intake/output, vitals, height/weight, point‑of‑care results).
• Assist with admission, transfer or discharge; observe patients closely.
