Job summary

The position emphasizes completing assignments on time, assisting with admissions and discharges, and maintaining clear communication within the health care team. BLS within 60 days is required.

Qualifications

• CNA preferred.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Computer literate preferred.
• Bilingual English & Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in delivering direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Documents patient care activities accurately using forms and information systems.
• Performs clinical skills: vital signs, aseptic technique, specimens, simple therapies, ostomy care, etc.
• Assists with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, grooming, oral care).
• Completes assigned duties within the time frame set by the RN.
• Gathers data: intake/output, vitals, height/weight, point-of-care results.
• Assists with admission, transfer, discharge of patients.
• Monitors patients and reports changes promptly.
• Supports unit maintenance: inventory, stocking and cleaning, regulatory checks.
• Handles clerical tasks: filing, charts, reception, communication with team.
