Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. You will respond to patient needs, assist with hygiene, feeding, mobility, and provide data to the RN to help implement the patient’s plan of care.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, CA DPH certification, and BLS. Excellent communication in English and teamwork are essential for high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• English: ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written forms.
• Experience in a health care setting is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CA DPH) certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification from AHA is required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient calls within established time frames and assists with patient needs.
• Performs essential patient care activities (hygiene, daily weight, I&O, meals, mobility) as directed.
• Documents all care provided including vital signs and intake/output.
• Maintains clean and safe patient rooms and adheres to safety protocols and equipment usage.
• Communicates effectively with RN, charge nurse, and other departments; participates in patient care planning.
