Job summary

The PCA role involves measuring vitals, assisting with activities of daily living, and communicating patient observations to the RN. High school diploma or GED and STNA registry are required, with possible center-specific requirements, and 0-6 months experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• STNA registry required for State Tested Nursing Assistant.
• STNA required for Daniel Drake Center.

Responsibilities

• Engages in patient care under supervision, maintains a clean and safe environment.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient comfort measures.
• Documents observations and reports changes to RNs in a timely manner.
• Monitors vital signs and participates in basic clinical tasks as delegated.
• Ensures patient identification bands are in place and adheres to safety policies.
• Demonstrates teamwork during admission, transfer and discharge processes.
