Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AHA CPR and patient care skills.
• Completion of unit-specific hospital safety education.
• State Tested Nursing Aide Training or Acute Medical Surgical/Hospital Training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic direct patient care as delegated by clinical staff.
• Measure vital signs and document patient observations.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Manage hygiene, comfort measures and routine care tasks.
• Communicate patient needs and changes to the RN promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and coworkers.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge as needed.
• Follow safety and infection control policies and procedures.
