R1 RCM Destin, FL is seeking a Part-Time Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast. You’ll assist with check-in, collect accurate demographics, verify insurance, and provide cost estimates with a compassionate touch.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service experience and communication skills.
• Experience with patient access, medical registration, insurance verification, or front desk is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and register patients across multiple computer systems.
• Answer phones and gather accurate patient information quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Support timely access to care by minimizing delays in registration and answering questions clearly.
• Build trust with patients during moments of illness, anxiety, or confusion.
• Navigate diverse insurance plans, enter demographics, collect co-pays and provide cost estimates.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
