Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Patient Service Representative at our Bown Crossing Family Medicine Clinic in Boise, ID. This full-time role supports physicians and clinical staff by handling patient check-in, co-pays, and insurance verification while using EPIC for updates.

The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, a quick learner, and committed to high-quality patient service and communication with patients and families. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Healthcare customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records (EPIC) a plus.
• Medical terminology knowledge is preferred.
• Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients for appointments.
• Collect co-pays and verify insurance eligibility.
• Answer phones and route messages via EPIC updates.
• Schedule appointments and maintain patient flow.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
