Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience required. Healthcare experience preferred.
• Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients immediately and provide a positive customer service experience.
• Register patients for appointments and complete paperwork.
• Verify and update patient and insurance information.
• Check in patients for appointments and collect co-pays.
• Schedule appointments and notify provider of patient arrival and delays.
• Explain wait times and maintain communication with patients.
• Balance daily payments and follow Cash Control Policy.
• Assist patients with Financial Assistance paperwork and payment plans.
