Prisma Health is seeking a patient financial services specialist at the CFM Administration in Oconee Memorial Hospital. You will interview patients to collect demographic and financial data, verify insurance, and initiate pre-authorization when required.

Responsibilities include collecting payments, producing reports, and communicating patient financial responsibilities while providing courteous service in a professional manner.

Formación

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 2 years in Admissions, Billing, Collections, Insurance, or Customer Service.
• Basic computer skills and data entry.
• Registration and scheduling experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Interview patients to collect and verify demographic and financial data.
• Verify insurance and initiate pre-authorization when required.
• Receive payments, issue receipts, and assist with collections.
• Prepare and distribute reports and patient identification items.
• Communicate estimated financial responsibility to patients and arrange payment terms.
