Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned.
• Two years of Admissions, Billing, Collections, Insurance and/or Customer Service experience.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and collects demographic and financial data in a courteous, professional manner.
• Verifies insurance coverage and initiates pre-certification when required.
• Obtains signatures on forms and documents as required.
• Receives payments and issues receipts, handling daily deposits per policy.
• Prepares and distributes reports and patient identification items as required.
• Communicates estimated financial responsibility to patients and refers for extended terms or financial assistance.
