Job summary

Bluegrass Care Navigators seeks a PACE Transportation Driver in Kentucky to transport participants to and from the Center, homes, and medical appointments. The role requires interacting with participants, caregivers, and staff while ensuring safety and reliability.

Candidates should have a Kentucky driver's license with at least two years of driving, CPR certification, and experience in transporting seniors or individuals with mobility needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a Kentucky driver’s license with a minimum of two years’ driving experience.
• At least one year of work experience in transporting passengers.
• Minimum of one year’s experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs or must receive training upon hire.
• Minimum of one year’s experience working with a frail or elderly population or must receive training upon hire.
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
• Proficient reading and writing comprehension skills.
• No positive drug or alcohol test including pre-employment, random, post-accident, or reasonable suspicion.
• No more than 2 moving traffic violations during the previous 36 months. No driving under the influence (DUI) conviction during the previous 5 years.
• Communicative, pleasant, and courteous. Must be able to interact effectively with PACE participants, caregivers, IDT, and PACE program staff.
• Able to keep accurate records; well organized.
• Entry level computer skills needed.
• Must be a licensed driver.

Responsibilities

• Transport PACE participants to and from the Center, home, and medical appointments.
• Interact with participants, caregivers, and staff on a daily basis.
