Job summary

Bgcarenav seeks a PACE Transportation Driver to transport participants to activities and medical appointments, interacting with participants, caregivers, and staff. The role requires safe driving, and accurate record-keeping, with attention to mobility needs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Kentucky driver’s license.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong reading and writing comprehension.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with participants, caregivers and staff.
• Able to keep accurate records and use basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Transport PACE participants to and from destinations (home, PACE Center, medical providers, etc.).
• Maintain professional interaction with participants, caregivers, community agencies and PACE staff.
• Ensure safety and timely transportation while documenting trips.

This role is responsible for providing services in both the Lexington (LEX) and Frankfort (FFT) regions

PositionSummary:

The PACETransportationDriveris responsible for the direct transportation of PACE participants to and from their destinations, including home, the PACE Center, medical providers, etc. Position requires constant interaction with PACE participants, caregivers, community agencies, medical providers and PACE program staff and leadership.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a current Kentucky driver’s license, witha minimum of twoyears’driving experience.
• At least one yearofworkexperience in transportingpassengers.
• Minimum of oneyear’sexperience transporting individuals with special mobility needs or must receiveappropriate trainingupon hire.
• Minimum of oneyear’sexperience working with a frail or elderly population or must receiveappropriate trainingupon hire.
• Possesses andmaintains current CPR certification.
• Proficient reading and writing comprehension skills.
• No positive drug or alcohol testincludingpre-employment, random, post-accident, or reasonable suspicion.
• No more than 2 moving traffic violations during the previous36 months. No driving under the influence (DUI) [Drug or Alcohol] conviction during the previous 5 years in a commercial or personal motor vehicle.
• Communicative,pleasant,and courteous. Must be able to interact effective uvly with PACE participants, caregivers,IDT,and PACE program staff.
• Able to keepaccurate records;well organized.
• Entry level computer skills needed.
• Mustbe a licensed driver.
