Job summary

Mercy in Guthrie, OK is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support objective patient assessments and comprehensive, age-diverse treatment plans. You will work under an OT supervisor to document care and progress, and implement treatment procedures in accordance with Mercy standards.

The role requires graduating from an accredited OTA program, and an active or eligible state license, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupation Therapist Assistant program.
• Current license for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for licensure.
• One year experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• BLS certification required and current.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial patient assessment under OT supervision and policies.
• Document patient care, progress notes, and treatment needs.
• Administer modalities, exercise regimes, or treatment procedures per policy.
• Maintain patient records and departmental documentation.
• Support department education initiatives.
• Demonstrate knowledge of care needs across age groups: neonatal to geriatric.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Inpatient Physical Medicine Supervisor.
