Job summary

Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver patient care under the supervision of a licensed OT, supporting outpatients, inpatients, pediatrics and off-site locations.

You will document progress in the EHR, collaborate with the health team, and help assess daily living skills to determine abilities and needs. Mercy Health emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of practice (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH).
• Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Occupational Therapist and monitors response to treatment.
• Maintains accurate and concise records on treatment provided and patient’s progress.
• Observes and reports patients’ responses to treatment and progress to the Occupational Therapist.
• Collaborates with Occupational Therapist and other health team members to plan, modify and coordinate treatment programs.
• Assists in assessment of client’s daily living skills and capabilities.
