Job summary

Mercy Health seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant for Springfield Regional Medical Center. You will provide patient care under an Occupational Therapist, document progress, and support families across inpatient, outpatient, pediatrics and off-site locations.

Licensure as an OTA, BLS, and potential COTA credentials are considered. Mercy Health offers competitive pay, education support and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of current practice.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred; required within 30 days for BSMH; COTA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers age-appropriate interventions under supervision and monitors response.
• Maintains accurate and concise records on treatment provided and patient progress.
• Observes and reports patients’ responses to treatment to the supervising OT.
• Collaborates with the OT and health team to coordinate treatment plans.
• Assists in assessment of daily living skills to determine abilities and limitations.
• Designs and adapts equipment for home or clinical environments.
