Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant for Lourdes Hospital to provide patient treatment under the supervision of a licensed OT. You will document progress, implement established programs, and support families in education across outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, and off-site settings.

Candidate should be licensed as an OTA in the current practice state. BLS is preferred, with certification timelines varying by site. A collaborative, patient-centered care approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (state of practice)
• BLS certification preferred; required within 30 days for some sites
• Experience not required (training provided in role)

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate therapeutic interventions under OT supervision.
• Maintain accurate and concise treatment records in the EHR.
• Collaborate with OT and health team to coordinate treatment plans.
• Assess clients’ daily living skills to determine abilities and needs.
• Design/adapt equipment for clients’ home and work environments.
