Job summary

Kindly Direct Care seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals in New Jersey to provide one-to-one support at home and in the community. You’ll assist adults with developmental disabilities, helping them engage in activities, build daily living skills, and maintain independence.

Responsibilities include following individualized plans, documenting services, and ensuring health and safety. Training and onboarding are provided; transportation may be required.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient, and dependable in one-to-one care.
• Strong communication and ability to follow instructions.
• Experience with documentation and scheduling systems.
• Background checks and training completed.
• Reliable transportation when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful one-to-one support at home and in the community.
• Help individuals participate in meaningful activities, hobbies, errands, appointments, recreation, and social opportunities.
• Teach and reinforce daily living, communication, social, safety, and independence skills.
• Encourage individual choice, self-advocacy, community inclusion, and healthy relationships.
• Assist with routines and activities of daily living when required by the individual’s plan.
• Follow individualized behavioral, medical, safety, and support instructions within DSP scope and training.
• Maintain health and safety and promptly report concerns.
• Complete required service documentation accurately and on time.
• Clock in and out as required and maintain dependable attendance and communication.
• Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, dignity, and respect.
