Job summary

Kindly Direct Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide one-on-one companionship and support to adults with varying communication abilities across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. You will help individuals participate in community activities, build relationships, and promote independence while maintaining dignity.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.
• Ability to complete required paid training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: experience supporting individuals with IDD; caregiving/healthcare/human services background.
• CPR, First Aid, or Medication Administration certifications preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one companionship and help individuals engage in communities and activities.
• Attend movies, parks, restaurants, shopping trips, events, and other outings.
• Assist with meals, daily routines, and personal care when needed.
• Follow individualized support plans and safety protocols.
• Complete accurate electronic documentation and progress notes.
• Communicate with supervisors, families, and care team; attend trainings and maintain certifications.
