Job summary

In Good Company Care and Supports is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New Jersey. We offer meaningful roles in home and community settings, with both full-time and part-time schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience with IDD preferred, but training provided.
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
• Strong communication skills.
• Comfortable with personal care tasks.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Able to pass background checks and complete required training (CPR/First Aid, etc.).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with IDD in homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal prep, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings.
• Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans as directed.
• Administer medication as trained and authorized where applicable.
• Document services accurately and per NJ DDD requirements.
• Communicate with families, care team, and staff regarding needs and progress.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, person-centered environment.
