Job summary

Kindly Direct Care in New Jersey is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support in the client’s home or community. This role suits someone seeking meaningful, flexible part-time work with a reliable schedule fixed by the employer.

You will assist with daily routines, encourage independence, and document services after visits while ensuring safety and adherence to personalized plans. Some experience is preferred but not required; reliable transportation is needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to commit to exact posted schedule.
• Dependable, respectful, patient, and comfortable working one-to-one.
• Some experience preferred but not required.
• Must be comfortable driving own vehicle.
• Able to complete onboarding, background checks and training.

Responsibilities

• Support an adult with developmental disabilities at home and/or in the community.
• Provide companionship/community support/life skills/ADL support as appropriate.
• Encourage independence, social connection, and progress toward personal goals.
• Assist with routines and activities based on the individual’s needs.
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.
• Complete required documentation after services and communicate reliably with the Kindly team.
