Job summary

Compass Oncology in Tigard, OR is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our high-impact team at West Cancer Center. The role requires adaptability, collaboration, and proactive engagement to support patients and staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating appointments, referrals, and communications, while maintaining patient confidentiality and providing excellent service in a fast-paced cancer care setting. Competitive pay and full-time hours are offered.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of office experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology highly desired.
• Ability to apply critical thinking when reading, interpreting, and executing provider orders.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; ability to adapt to patient/clinic needs.
• Proficient with computer systems; MS Outlook & Word.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient medical appointments (office visits, lab, chemotherapy, and other tests).
• Coordinates external referrals as ordered by the provider.
• Obtains and maintains patient demographics and insurance information; communicates changes.
• Responds to routine and non-routine patient inquiries timely and professionally.
• Maintains positive working relationships across departments and attends team huddles.
