Job summary

Addus Homecare in New Mexico is urgently hiring Flex Home Care Aides - HCAs to support seniors and people with disabilities in their homes. The Home Care Aide - Core is on call for 5 days per week with 40 hours per week and 20 hours guaranteed; weekend days required and schedule set by supervisor.

You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, housekeeping, meals, and transportation. You may assist with medications and report changes in client condition.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation; valid driver's license and proof of insurance if driving.
• Nurturing and compassionate with the ability to work with limited supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• On-call 24 hours; 5 days/week with at least one weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans and report task completion.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing).
• Provide routine house cleaning, meal prep, and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client's condition.
