Job summary

Addus HomeCare in Deming, NM is urgently hiring Flex Home Care Aides (HCAs) to support seniors and individuals with disabilities in their homes. You will follow care plans and assist with daily tasks while delivering compassionate, reliable in-home care.

The position is on-call for 24 hours, five days a week, with at least one weekend day and 20 hours guaranteed. Candidates must pass a background check and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation; if by car, a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Nurturing and compassionate nature with the desire to care for others.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans for clients and report on completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs of the client (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor's office, grocery store and other essential errands.
• Assist client with the self-administration of medications.
• On-call for 24-hour shifts; 5 days per week with at least one weekend day.
