Job summary

RegalCare at Quincy is seeking a Healthcare Admission Coordinator to help coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges with accuracy and compassion. You will verify patient information and insurance, and collaborate with providers and insurers to ensure smooth patient transitions.

In this role you will maintain patient records, support quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction efforts in a fast-paced care setting, while building strong relationships with families and healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in healthcare administration preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare administration.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and database management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating patient admissions, transfers, and discharges in a timely and efficient manner
• Verifying patient information, insurance coverage, and medical history
• Collaborating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and care
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and files
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction surveys
