Job summary

South Shore Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care across nursing units, assist with safe transport, and perform receptionist duties as needed.

Under supervision of licensed personnel, you will observe patients, report data to RNs, participate in safety protocols, and help maintain compliance with privacy and safety guidelines. Strong communication and BLS certification are preferred; a High School diploma and prior CNA experience are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Basic medical terminology and documentation skills required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct/non-direct patient care under supervision.
• Observe and report patient data/status to assigned RN.
• Respond to acuity and emergent situations as directed.
• Maintain patient safety and privacy compliance.
• Assist with transport and reception tasks on unit.
