Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a devoted Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a not-for-profit long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and support the care team under supervision of an RN.

Eligible full-time and part-time staff may receive a generous benefits package and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Shifts vary, including nights and weekends, with a FLEX premium and weekend/evening differentials.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Satisfactory completion of competency testing and ongoing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Record vital signs and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and mobility using proper technique.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and dining to create a positive experience.
• Follow infection prevention, PPE use, and safety policies.
• Support wellness and recreational activities and assist with documentation.

Education

CNA certification (State Board)

GED or HS diploma preferred
