Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a Nursing Assistant to support RNs in daily patient care, including bathing, feeding and mobility. You will document vital signs, intake/output, and weights in the EMR, and communicate observations to the RN promptly.

Under supervision, you will assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges, restock supplies, and ensure room setup and patient safety. The role requires basic computer skills and a state Nurse Aide certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding and mobility.
• Record vital signs and inputs/outputs in EMR as directed.
• Communicate patient observations promptly to RN and document accurately.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge tasks and patient room setup.
• Handle lab specimen collection and point-of-care tests as directed.
• Restock nursing areas and maintain cleanliness and equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and transfers using proper technique.
• Support skin care and use of patient supplies and devices as needed.
• Follow infection prevention policies and wear appropriate PPE.
• Provide age-appropriate care information and monitor patient needs per policy.
