Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part Time Nurse Aide for the Advocate Condell Medical Center - Nursing Float Pool in Libertyville, IL. The position supports licensed staff in delivering patient care and requires BLS and state Nurse Aide registration.

Responsibilities include daily patient care, accurate documentation in the EMR, rounding, admission/discharge support, specimen collection, and inventory management. Rotating weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Team members must maintain annual hospital-based certifications (e.g. DNV, CARF or others).
• Nurse Aide in good standing with the state registry and BLS within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activities and ambulation.
• Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs, intake/output and daily weights in EMR.
• Performs purposeful rounding and communicates observations to the RN.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge under RN supervision.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as needed.
• Performs errands and manages stock for nursing area; maintains equipment and cleanliness.
• Maintains patient positioning and safe transfer with proper technique and assistive devices.
