Job summary

Essentia Health in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision, supporting safety and comfort for patients in multiple units.

The role requires meeting one of several CNA-related prerequisites and includes day and night rotations, weekend work every other weekend, and rotating 12-hour shifts. Competitive benefits and state licensure requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following: 6 months of patient care experience; Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program; Successful completion of an EH provided Nursing Assistant training within one month of hire; Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program; Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and assist with personal hygiene and nutritional needs.
• Provide comfort care and other assistance as needed.
• Transfer patients safely and appropriately.
• Take vital signs and complete recordkeeping.
• Report changes in patient condition to the RN promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment to promote healing.
