Job summary

Trustwell Living, LLC is seeking a dedicated resident services aide in Oregon. The role involves providing personal care, assisting with daily activities, and supporting residents in a home-like environment.

You will follow service plans, assist with meals, mobility, and ADLs, and collaborate with staff to ensure safety and quality of life. Applicants should have 18–24 months in a similar role, CPR/First Aid certification preferred, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• 18 – 24 months experience in a similar position, CPR/First Aid certified preferred.
• Adequate and clear English speaking and writing ability; able to communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; 35 pounds regularly.
• Willingness to adhere to assisted living principles.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Resident.
• Receives and gives report from the previous shift.
• Reviews assignments with Designated Supervisor.
• Reads the staff communication records and maintains familiarity with Resident records as required.
• Assists with orientation of new staff to job responsibilities.
• Assists with instrumental activities of daily living, ADL’s, environmental orientation, assistance with other care while encouraging self-care and independence.
• Assists with setting up, serving meals, and cleaning up afterwards.
• Provides services as indicated on Resident service plans, including but not limited to bathing assistance, toileting assistance, transfer, and mobility assistance.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors, including housekeeping services for Residents.
• Observes problems, concerns, and issues with Resident units, the building, and the grounds and communicates them appropriately.
• Observes changes in Resident status, needs, or preferences and communicates them appropriately.
• Observes other problems and communicates them appropriately.
• Observes all work, safety, and administrative rules.
• Adheres to all established policies and procedures.
• Records Resident information as required..
• Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergency situations.
• Assists with individual Resident and group social recreational activities.
• Notifies nurse, and/or designated agent(s) of Resident status/change as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
