Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System’s Methodist Hospital in Omaha is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patient care on a 24 or 36 hour per week schedule from 6:45am to 7:15pm. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, vital signs, ADLs, and maintaining a safe, clean patient environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.
• Completion of first clinical rotation as Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Successful completion of the 75-hour state approved Nurse Assistant course or 6 months Nurse Assistant experience required.
• Will consider high school students 16 years or older who have completed the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate patient care according to the patient’s plan of care.
• Perform ADL assistance, hygiene, and comfort measures.
• Document patient data accurately and timely.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment and assist with room preparation.
