Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our evening and night shift teams at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. The role requires caregiving, patient hygiene, and vital signs monitoring, with schedules of 24 or 36 hours per week.

You’ll provide compassionate, age-appropriate care, assist with ADLs, document care in our Cerner system, and help maintain a safe, clean patient environment. Shift differentials and tuition assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Completion of first Nursing Assistant rotation or CNA training is preferred.
• Current BLS certification preferred or required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate patient care and comfort, including hygiene and ADL support.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and communicate with the health care team.
• Document care activities accurately in Cerner and on worksheets.
• Maintain clean, safe patient rooms and ensure equipment is ready for use.
• Assist with front desk coverage as needed.
