Job summary

Cayuga Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls, NY. You will work closely with the nurse to deliver direct patient care, support activities of daily living, and help prevent complications in a busy hospital setting.

The role requires high school level education and is complemented by orientation and ongoing training. Onsite location at Schuyler Hospital with weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent experience; BLS training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Toileting, ambulating, repositioning, monitoring and recording intake and output; report abnormal findings to RN.
• Reinforcing education with patients (incentive spirometer use) and fall prevention.
• Maintain clean, organized bedside area for a safe workspace.
• Intentionally round on each patient every hour.
