Job summary

Cayuga Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls, NY. You will work closely with the RN to provide direct patient care, assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient status, and reinforce education. The position is onsite with 12-hour shifts and requires every-other-weekend/holiday coverage.

An orientation week (Mon-Fri 8a-4p) is mandatory before starting. BLS training is provided if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification will be provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: Toileting, ambulating, repositioning, monitoring and recording intake and output, recording weight and vitals.
• Reinforcing education with patients (e.g., incentive spirometer) and fall prevention.
• Maintain a clean, safe bedside area and perform hourly rounds.
• Location: Onsite at Schuyler Hospital, Montour Falls, NY 14865.
• Shift: 12-hour shifts; work every other weekend and holidays.
