Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a part-time Nursing Aide I for Union West, with 24 hours per week and night shifts. Holiday track assignment based on unit need; includes 4 weekend shifts in 6 weeks (2 full weekends or 4 weekend shifts).

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, DFS Nurse Aide Registry listing as Nurse Aide I, and BLS certification. Pay ranges from $19.80 to $29.70 per hour, with benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for new hires on or after 7/22/2018.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients with activities of daily living.
• Assists patients with personal hygiene.
• Takes vital signs and height and weight measurements.
• Feeds and ambulates patients according to specific procedures.
• Maintains patient rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
• Observes and reports changes in patient conditions.
• Orients patients to unit and safety measures.
• Assists with clerical work and data entry.
• Maintains stock items in inventory management.
• Performs duties as outlined in the scope of Nurse Aide I tasks.
• Performs technical tasks with appropriate training such as administering a 12-Lead ECG test and routine venipuncture.
