Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide I for full-time roles in the Union West Nursing unit. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, hygiene, and patient safety within a busy medical/surgical environment.

Responsibilities include light clerical support, inventory and equipment care, and adherence to PHI guidelines. Requires DFS Nurse Aide I listing and BLS certification; 36 hours per week with weekend and holiday shifts as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for new hires on or after 7/22/2018.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients/residents with activities of daily living.
• Assists patients/residents with personal hygiene.
• Takes vital signs and height/weight measurements.
• Feeds and ambulates patients/residents per procedure.
• Maintains patient/resident rooms in clean, orderly condition.
• Observes and reports changes in patient/resident conditions.
• Orients patients/families to unit and safety procedures.
• Performs clerical tasks: phones, data entry, medical records.
